Allen began his career in Public Safety in 2001 and has served over 15 years with experience as a telecommunications operator, peace officer, emergency medical technician, and volunteer firefighter.

He began his employment with the Iowa Colony Police Department in 2019 where he currently serves as the department's Administrative Sergeant. In this position, he assists with the daily operations of the department by providing support and administrative assistance to the Chief of Police and the Police Department. He is also responsible for the department's records and files.
