District C

Sydney Hargroder was born and raised in Lake Charles, Louisiana and has been in the Houston area for over 10 years. After moving many times around the area, Sydney and her husband Michael finally found the place that they wanted their children to call home- Iowa Colony, Tx. As a mother of two, Sydney hopes to help ensure positive and smart growth in the city while also maintaining fiscal responsibility. 

Sydney has also served the community as a member of Meridiana Elementary’s PTO. She also previously served the city as the chairwoman of the Iowa Colony Charter Commission. 

Sydney graduated from the University of Houston with a degree in history and national security and is currently studying at the University of Houston for her master's in public administration with a concentration in emergency management. She currently resides in District C of Iowa Colony with her husband, Michael, and their two daughters, Marileigh and Evangeline.
