CITY OF IOWA COLONY, TEXAS
TEXAS COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT – MITIGATION
(CDBG-MIT) PROGRAM
The City of Iowa Colony is giving notice of the City's intent to submit an application to the Texas General Land Office (GLO) for a Texas Community Development Block Grant - Mitigation (CDBG-MIT) Regional Method of Distribution (MOD) program. The proposed total of the City’s grant application is $958,800.00, to be used for the following project:
- Drainage Improvements: Iowa Colony Blvd and Chocolate Bayou West Fork Tributary 101-05-00 - $958,800.00
The City will request public comments for fourteen (14) days from the date of this posting. The public is encouraged to submit comments to City Manager Robert Hemminger, Primary Contact for the City of Iowa Colony application, 12003 Iowa Colony Blvd 77583 or via email at rhemminger@iowacolonytx.gov. All input must be received by 5:00 p.m. on December 30th, 2022. Comments will be incorporated into the draft application documents, as appropriate, that will mitigate the devastating effects of natural disasters as well as ensure the project is in line with environmental regulations, affirmatively further fair housing activities, and, if applicable, minimizing displacement of persons by project activities.
Upon the expiration of this comment period the City will review and address the public comments in the proposed application. Final project recommendations will be presented to the City Council prior to the submission of the application to the GLO on or before January 9, 2023.

SUBVENCIÓN EN BLOQUE PARA EL DESARROLLO COMUNITARIO DE TEXAS: PROGRAMA DE MITIGACIÓN (CDBG-MIT)
La ciudad de Iowa Colonia notifica la intención de la ciudad de presenter una solicitud a la Oficina General de Tierras de Texas (GLO) para una Subvención en Bloque para el Desarrollo Comunitario de Texas - Programa de método regional de distribución (MOD) de mitigación (CDBG-MIT). El total propuesto de la solicitud de subvención del condado es $958,800.00 que se utilizará para el siguiente proyecto:
- Mejoras de Drenaje: Iowa Colony Blvd y Pantano de Chocolate Afluente de West Fork 101-05-00 - $958,800.00
La ciudad solicitará comentarios para el público catorce (14) días a partir de la fecha de esta publicación. Se alienta al público a enviar comentarios al Administrador de la ciudad Robert Hemminger, contacto principal para la solicitud de la ciudad de Iowa Colonia, 12003 Iowa Colony Blvd 77583, TX, o por correo electrónico a rhemminger@iowacolonytx.gov. Todos los aportes deben estar entregados antes de las 5:00 p. m. del 30 de diciembre del 2022. Al vencimiento de este período de comentarios, la ciudad revisará y abordará los comentarios públicos en la solicitud propuesta. Las recomendaciones finales del proyecto se presentarán al ayuntamiento de La Marque antes de la presentación de la solicitud al GLO el 9 de enero de 2023 o antes.
