Fireworks are Illegal in the City of Iowa Colony

no fireworks

The City of Iowa Colony wants to remind everyone that fireworks are dangerous. They produce intense heat and cause millions of dollars in damage every year. Not to mention the noise scares many household pets and their owners.

This is to remind you that fireworks are illegal to use inside the Iowa Colony city limits unless you are on a 10+ acre tract of land. Anyone caught discharging fireworks may be issued a citation, a Class-C misdemeanor carrying a fine of up to $2,000. And, you can be held civilly or criminally responsible for any fires or injuries caused by the illegal use of fireworks.

Please have a happy and safe 4th of July. Do not use fireworks!
